Target Community & Impact Goals
NCIS will serve students in the Riverview Gardens attendance area and surrounding communities (contingent HB711), where families are seeking high-quality, culturally responsive educational options.
By Year 5, we aim to:
-
Increase literacy and math proficiency by at least 30%.
-
Serve over 500 students, building a sustainable and replicable school model.
-
Create a new standard for therapeutic charter schools nationwide.
-
Develop a thriving school-based agriculture program that enhances STREAM learning and supports local food security efforts.
NCIS is more than a school—it’s a movement to reimagine education for historically underserved students. Join us in making this vision a reality!

Mission & Vision
North County Innovative School (NCIS) is a PreK-8 STREAM-focused therapeutic charter school dedicated to transforming education in historically underperforming communities. Our vision is to equip students with the academic excellence, emotional resilience, and 21st-century skills needed to thrive in high school, college, and beyond. We blend rigorous STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math) instruction with embedded mental health supports and culturally responsive teaching to foster a holistic learning experience.

Empowering Minds. Healing Hearts. Transforming Futures.

The Problem & Our Solution

-
Project-Based STREAM Learning to spark curiosity and innovation.
-
On-Site Mental Health & Counseling Services to support emotional well-being.
-
A Culture that builds pride, identity, and academic confidence.
-
Agriculture Education as a Real-World STREAM Application that fosters sustainability, environmental awareness, and hands-on learning while serving the community.
